The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia paid special attention to the regulations, and laid - since its inception - its pillars, and laid down its organizing frameworks.The Labor Law and its Executive Regulations were one of the organizational foundations established by the Kingdom to regulate labor relations of a special nature, in accordance with the provisions of Islamic Sharia, national regulations and international charters to which it is bound, in order to achieve justice and preserve rights.Believing in the importance of the societal role of private enterprises, and a desire to contribute to raising the level of human rights awareness for individuals and companies, and to complement our series of awareness-raising publications, we set out to prepare [The Legal Guide in Labor Relations], which aims to shed light on the following:Enabling everyone to be familiar with it as to benefit from it with ease and flexibility.Shedding light on the work contract between the employee and the employer, in a manner that preserves the rights and duties of each party pursuant to the regulations and executive regulations.The expiration and termination of the employment relationship as well as the due rights and compensations, if any.Labor disputes and cases, the mechanism of adjudicating them, and the competent court.To enhance the business environment and the rights and duties of the parties to the labor relationship, and to raise the level of career and financial security. We have taken care of explaining the work contract, its types and terms of the contract, the fixed-term or indefinite term employment contract, the maximum working hours, passing the accrued annual vacations, the end of the labor relationship and the lawful and illegal termination, with reference to the end of service gratuity and payment of entitlements, and then an explanation of how to file labor claims and the competent court, and ending with the mechanism of objection on judgments.In this guide, we have made sure that it is summarized and does not violate its intentions, with concise terms far from unnecessary verbiage, well formulated, smooth and uncomplicated.
